Definitely worth a stop to see the Buddha and Pagoda. It's a rather hidden off the street location but easy to find. Peaceful and transports you back in time.

Always visit Jodo Mission. I love being in the presence of the Buddha. A bit off the beaten path in Lahaina (look for the "mala ramp" sign off of the northern end of Front Street). Billed as the largest Buddha outside of Japan, it's worth...More

After reading about the Buddha and the Mission, we found it down a quiet side street near the Cannery Mall. Well worth the quick walk to see the statue and the 3 buildings. No tour...you just walk around yourself.

We stopped to see the Jodo Mission. It was quiet and no one was there. The building were open, you can look inside, but not enter. I enjoyed seeing the site and it took under 30 minutes. Worth a visit. Calm and peaceful

Easy to find, free access, nice spot to spend an hour. Not much in the way of plaques or information but beautiful none the less.

Quite little area near the wharf. Follow front street north and turn left just before the bride. Temple, one very large Buddha, and a large bell. Free, but donations are accepted.

you can see entire temple within 2 minutes. Buddha was impressive for America (there are much bigger ones in Asia)
