The only time I had been to Lanai was over 25 years ago around the time the new resort was getting their sand traps filled with sand from Australia. Our guide Tony did a great job filling in what happened before and after that time....More

Taking the ferry to Lanai makes for a fun day trip from Maui. I read that they have a new ferry boat. It was very comfortable and fun to sit outside where you can feel the ocean breeze. We saw whales both going over and...More

We love the ferry! We love the captains! The vessels are providing a comfortable ride, great views, whales (when in season), a breeze and a fast and direct connection from Maui to Lana'i. Want to visit Lana'i for the day? Early morning departures and evening...More

These guys have a couple new boats that are very comfortable and ride very nicely. We fly into Maui and then use the ferry to get to Lanai for a few days. Many people use them for day trips to Lanai. In the January to...More

Inexpensive and fairly quick way to get from Lanai to Maui or vice versa. However, NOT a sight-seeing tour. Feels very much like a cheap bus ride, but with waves and sea-sickness. My husband doesn't get motion sickness, but he was quite ill, even after...More

The ferry ride is an attraction in of itself. The boat provides a comfortable trip, either inside or outside, between the islands. It can get a bit bouncy, when the winds are up; but they cancel runs, if the swells become too formidable. During this...More

Very efficiently run and comfortable ride between the islands. Prompt departure and arrival, and you can choose to sit indoors or outdoors. Taxi services await when arriving at the Lanai port so you don't have to worry about getting to your final destination on the...More

Great day trip to Lanai via ferry. You can sit up top or below. I did both and preferred to sit up top on my way back and feel the wind in my hair and see the views.

This whale watching trip was a great value. I've gone whale watching many times and I never saw nearly as many whales as I did on this trip. The ride was very smooth and the crew was exceptionally helpful. Unlimited free drinks and light refreshments....More

Ferry was new, clean and travelled very quickly between the two islands. Worth the ticket price. We left Maui at 915 and caught the return ferry at 2. If we were doing it again would plan to return on the 430 ferry. This would allow...More

You can always charter a boat. but I do not recommend it. there is not much to see, especially on the north side. there is enough to do on the island itself without having to leave it. unless you want to fish.
