This amazingly huge banyan tree is right in heart of downtown Lahaina. Be sure to take a few minutes and sit beneath this natural beauty and allow the Hawaiian breezes to take you back in time.

The park is nice for a short rest in the shade. You have to watch for the birds surprises. Beautiful.

This was my first visit to Maui in 30 years. My daughters went surfing nearby and afterwards we stopped at the park for some pictures. The park itself was not as well-kept as I remember and I was surprised and dismayed at the number of...More

They had a music festival when we were there and it was a lot of fun. Lots of cool vendors and people. Can't wait to come back!

The size of this tree is nothing short of amazing.! It just goes on and on all started from one tree.

You have to see this Banyon Tree! It takes up land over an acre with its air roots. Nothing like it anywhere! provides shade and a great place for a craft fair. We loved it.

Unbelievable tree. Never seen one like it. Just goes and goes all different ways. Everybody needs to see. This tree takes up a city block.

This was very interesting to see. It's hard to believe it is a single tree. There are pictures inside the old courthouse next to it that show how it looked in 1900.

Hello, I was hoping someone could please recommend a beautiful park in West Maui to take portrait style photographs. We will be in Kihei for a wedding and we would like to take some photographs in a park type setting- I would like a spot that has a lush green lawn and lots of native Hawaiian flowers in the background. I realize this is Hawaii so obviously it's all beautiful but I was hoping someone could recommend some particular spots that they think would work. Thanks

Banyan Tree Park is pretty but dirt no lawn. Kaanapali Beach Resort has beautiful lawns with flowering trees and bushes everywhere along with the ocean as background.

We usually stay long enough to eat our shave ice and cool off. The tree itself is so large there is plenty going on with artists and locals underneath it that you could stay for an hour or so. Good stuff you must see it... More
