The tree is spectacular and it’s worth stopping by to see it and snap a few photos. It’s not really a park kids can play in and you’re not supposed to climb the tree so it’s mostly just a viewing and photo opportunity. Our kids...More

You definitely want to check out this old tree. I have never seen anything like it before. There are some homeless people hanging out around it, but they did not bother anyone. Also there is a public restroom nearby.

The banyan trees in this park are out of this world in beauty. We spent a lot of time enjoying the tranquility of this park and enjoying the vendors that set up each day with their crafts and art. A MUST SEE for anyone visiting...More

This Banyan Tree planted in 1874 is now pushing 150 years old (from India) and has now 12 trunks back into the ground in old town Lahaina. Very fun to see, but good luck on getting the whole thing in a photograph.

If youi are interested in trees this is for you. This is the oldest Banyan tree in the US planted in 1873. It is in Lahaina which is a beautiful seaside town on the west coast and we loved it.

We walked about a mile to find this park and it was worth it, totally lived up to the hype! It was across the street form the old Courthouse, also worth checking out. Lahaina has a cool vibe, reminiscent of Key West.

The Banyan tree is really amazing. Walk around the entire park to get different views of the tree. It is all just 1 tree.

This park is not to be missed. The Banyan tree here is amazing - from far away, even across the street, it is hard to see it as one tree. You really need to walk around its many branches and roots to experience the massiveness...More

I showed some friends new to the island the beautiful banyan tree that takes up a city block. We got some shaved ice and sat under the branches. If your in Lahiana town you should check out this tree!

This is truly an amazing tree! Great area to stop and take a break! There are times that they set up stands and sell stuff! Just a nice area!

I don't know the answer to your question but if you can remember any store or restaurant names where he was around, I would call them and ask for help. If it was in the park, try calling the old courthouse.

I was there in October, for the first time. I don't know anyone except my cousin, who lives on the Island. : )
