We were in downtown Lahaina 3 days ago, and had to stop by to see this beautiful tree! It is amazing how large it actually is! What a wonderful part of nature. A must see when you visit Lahaina.

Kind of cool looking, my daughter said reminded her of Avatar. Don’t come here just for the tree though. If you do, make sure to take in the shops on Front Street.

If you’re looking for a nice spot to sit and relax while strolling/shopping in downtown Lahaina, head for this park and it’s gigantic namesake tree :). Be sure to also check out the museum next to the small harbor here as well... enjoy!

The huge banyan tree provides tons of shade right in the middle of town. There was a farmer's market/artist's show one day while we were there, and the park just had a cool vibe to it.

This is a very nice place to have lunch. Bring your own or buy something at a nearby store or restaurant. Just a great place to watch people or look at the beautiful trees

You walk in the park and look at the tree and leave. The tree itself is amazing. It’s so old and so huge, but when we went, the park was filled with homeless people and smelled like body odor.

We spent some time this afternoon sitting in this amazing park! It’s a must see in Lahaina. Visit the museum when you are there also.

Nice park with benches to rest a while after shopping. The tree is really huge. Public bathrooms are close by.

I don't know the answer to your question but if you can remember any store or restaurant names where he was around, I would call them and ask for help. If it was in the park, try calling the old courthouse.

I am going in October. I will look for him when I visit the park. If I get his contact info, I will forward it to you.
