We were recommended this beach from TA experts! Definitely a top beach for families with younger children or people unexperienced with swimming in the open ocean. Our children loved it, we even spotted a few turtles. Not much of a sandy beach and the waves...More

This beach is great for parties and water activities. Need to get there very early to reserve a spot. Great place for little ones as there are rocks that create a little pool and help break the waves.

Outside of town, this park is a welcome respite from the crowds of Lahaina or the big resorts. You feel like a local in this spot that is popular with surfers. Even if you don't surf, it's fun to watch the bobbing bodies waiting for...More

Like a hometown park. Grills restrooms. Lots of locals families very laid back. Parking a little sparse when busy. Getting on and off the highway can be a little treacherous look both ways twice. Nice view and get to see the amateurs learning to surf...More

Bring your own boards & this beach is a great place to catch fun waves! This is more of a local spot, so make sure to be respectful of the land (pack up your own trash). I came with my niece who is 5 years...More

Terrific spot to relax all day with the family. Waves consistent, sand soft. This public park has picnic tables, restrooms and BBQ grills.. Bring water, towels, boards, sunscreen & beach umbrella. No stores within walking distance. Make friend/family memories @ Launiupoko Beach.

We were doing a do it yourself drive it tour and stumbled on this beautiful beach. We stayed awhile and enjoyed seeing young surfers trying their best. We were midweek and later in the day so not a parking problem..

I'd suggest Kimo's on Front Street, but parking can be tough. It's lovely, well known for good food and gorgeous views, could be crowded b/c it's popular. Another idea is Frida's Beach House behind Safeway on the water. It's... More
