3 hours 3 minutes top to bottom. Go early as no shade on trail. I’d suggest start at sunrise. Moderate hike. Trail runners or boots for footwear. Great ocean views. Fun part is the wind farm/ wind mills at the top. After hike, stop at...More

We parked on the Lahaina side trailhead (unmarked by the road, but marked once you start the trail) and went 2.5 miles up to the top and then turned around and came the same 2.5 miles down. You can also go up and over, but...More

FIrst off, hiking boots are a must. The trail is very rocky and windy. Pretty views but very windy. Took us 3 hours to go to top and back.

Go early before it gets hot, and secure your belongings before approaching the windmills, as they ripped my sunglasses right off my head!

We started on the east side at 0815. We noticed everyone else was walking up the access road towards the east but we followed the official trail and got a serious cardio workout. The footing was all right but proper footwear was essential. We got...More

Coming from Lahaina, look for Ukumehame Park. South of that on 30 is the trail head. Or going toward Lahaina ... The trailhead is on the east side of 30 just past the tunnel.
