We really enjoyed the slack key show. The musicians were very talented. The music was great and the stories were enjoyable too. I think it was a more authentic Hawaiian experience than going to a luau (we've been to many). We will go to this...More
Visited Maui in October with one of my best friends from college -- we had an amazing time overall, were lucky with the weather, enjoyed a ton of time in the water, had fantastic food -- and absolutely loved this concert! We both have backgrounds...More
We were so surprised at how much we enjoyed this show. The music and dancing were so much fun. We especially liked the 2nd half of the show, when the young guys joined the older musicians and "jammed"!

Bear in mind: this is a live show. Seating is on regular chairs which may be very uncomfortable for some. Parking can be difficult. All that being said I had a wonderful time: Uncle George Kahumoku and his twelve string guitar, brother Nolan’s vocals and...More
We attened this show which has a different guest star each week. The show we attended featured Led Kaapana. Also performing were Max Angel (ukulele), Peter deAquino, the host George Kahumoku Jr., Sterling Seaton and Wainani Kealoha (hula).

We were unfamiliar with slack key guitar but are going home fans. This is authentic music played by outstanding musicians. Go early and get a near front seat for a "before concert" ukelele lesson. Max Angel, a talented young musician, brings a wide assortment of...More
As a person who host world music concerts and also host a monthly radio show that features world music ("Crossing Continents" at KDVS 90.3FM, Davis, California), I do tend to be quite picky. I had a good feeling about this event before we arrived on...More

I don't recommend including dinner at Sea House. We did and were very disappointed. You get a salad, entre and dessert. It's very over priced. The shrimp scampi was 4 shrimp with pasta, drowned in butter. It had no flavor.

We called ahead to reserve a seat. Tickets were available at the door. We went early after dinner & sat on the front row. This was a fantastic night. Don't miss it, whatever you have to do. Just go. Incredible show.
