Loved going to see the turtles. It’s a bit hard to get into to but worth it. Park up too and walk down, it’s much easier. Watching the surfers is amazing.

We love this beach... the waves are easier to manage. You can see turtles frequently and the rocks to the side make it a lovely, picturesque scene. There are nice facilities, a lifeguard station and showers. On weekends, you can generally see the outrigger canoe...More

Great sidewalk frequented by runners and walkers in the morning. Always turtles to spot, as well. Nice sandy beach on the north end. Can be busy with local events on the weekends. If the main lot is full, there are more to the south. Equipped...More

This is a public beach very close to Lahaina. It is a long beach, with public restrooms and showers. Is very good to spend the day. There are no waves, it is like a pool, you can swim or whatever. The beach is not too...More

No, this isn't necessarily a beach for lying in the sand and doing nothing... Though that can be found a short walk northward along Ka'anapali beach. Hanakao'o has something much better... wildlife. It's my favorite place in Maui. I always see lots of turtles, who...More

Came to watch the sunset one night - away from the crowds at our resort - sweet beach with good facilities.

We had a family bbq here recently before a wedding and it was an excellent spot! Just remember to bring your own charcoal and things to clean out the grill if the previous group did not. Great sunset, nice beach, entertaining to watch the canoe...More

This beach is one of many along the stretch of Kaanapali and Lahaina, and it comes with restroom facilities. The water is normally safe for families and for water sports; depends on the tide. Nice to picnic, relax, dip, nap, walk the beach, and plenty...More

Hanakao'o Park is the perfect beach for families. It is one of only 2 beaches in the west with a lifeguard tower. There are also barbecues, tables, rest rooms, showers and shade. The park is usually quiet except for weekends when canoe events are going...More
