Kaanapali is genuine, beautiful and full of choices. This is our third visit and we always go back. Being in Kaanapali means relax, reset, walk everywhere and it's non commercial. Great beach restaurants and great warm clean water, what else do you want.

This is a beautiful stretch of beaches with a fairly good choice of parking. They have nice waves to play in and a variety of beaches along the stretch. Some good for seeing fish, others super sandy and great for swimming. Beautiful beaches and not...More

If you plan on visiting Maui in Januaryn bring a jacket, a wet suit if you plan on snookerlling in the ocean. The ocean is cold this time of the year.

Ka’anapali beach is really nice. Always seems sunny. We stayed at this beach and it a good proximity to front street and also whalers mall.

What a wonderful place to really experience Maui. The beach is beautiful, clean, unparalleled to many of the beach areas on the island. Whether just relaxing on a beach chair, swimming in the crystal clear water, people watching, reading a good book in perfect surroundings,...More

Near hotels and shopping. Parking sometimes difficult and not always free. Picture perfect beaches. Caution: tides and strong currents in some places. Snorkeling possible in some areas. Can watch whales in the distance from the beach Jan-March.

Beautiful beach. Not a surf or wakeboard beach. Good to snorkel the reefs, paddle board, kayak and relax on the sand. Fabulous sunsets over Lanai.

Only one road and I'd highly recommend leaving early, taking drinks/snacks (or even pack a lunch), and stopping when you can. My husband suffers from motion sickness and he drove. We took our time and stopped occasionally... More

We saw one while just sitting on the beach as it swam by. They aren’t plentiful is it is more a luck of the draw. Good luck!

You can get them at the royal Lahaina resort. They have cabanas as well for $50 a day. Lawn chairs are $10, not sure how much the umbrella was
