When planning ahead for our Hawaii vacation, I considered traveling to Molikai. We were informed that 10/16 they stopped running.

Sadly, the Molokai ferry recently stopped running. I went on line and confirmed with the hotel concierge that there is no ferry to Molokai.

Three years ago we took the ferry to Molokai, rented a car and explored the island. We were hoping to take the ferry again this trip. The ferry service to Molokai has been discontinued.

I was in Maui in Dec. 2016 and was disappointed to find out the ferry had been cancelled in October of 2016. We did take the other ferry that takes you to Lanai and enjoyed that day trip very much.

Aside from Flying this is the only way to get to Molokai. The ferry leaves from Lahaina and arrives in Kaunakakai Harbor about 2 hours later.

Today was the last day of service. They will be open to process refunds through mid December. Guided tours are still offered to Kalaupapa by air service. Too bad, this was a fun way to get to Molokai, especially for camping.

We got to sit on deck going to Molokai and it was very pleasant. Molokai itself is rather an ugly stepsister to most of the other Islands. Not that much to see on the Island. The trip back was horrible. An old shoulder/neck injury was...More

Wish I had read reviews of the ferry ride to realize how choppy it can be. I would have spent the extra planning and dollars to fly instead. The day we went was just miserable: flying is more predictable.

There is a parking lot nearby. I can't remember the name of it, but if you call the company, I'm sure they can direct you to the location. It's not far from where you catch the ferry. Just be sure to allow enough time to... More

Aloha Merry, Lahaina offers a variety of parking areas. Although there are plenty of free parking spaces, they fill up quickly and since you are going on the early ferry over to Molokai, you shouldn't have an issue finding... More
