At Wailele Polynesian Luau dinner show, guests will embark on an exciting journey to the Polynesian Islands where dance was considered not just as a form of entertainment, but as a means of telling stories. Recognized for providing an award-winning experience, the luau is held oceanfront at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa and features dances and songs from old and modern Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand (Maori), Tonga and Samoa. Highlights include the story of Pele (Goddess of Fire), Hi'ilave Hula Awana dedicated to Wailele (meaning waterfalls) and Maui's most extreme fire knife dance finale called "Siva Afi". The unforgettable evening of fun, culture and entertainment is complemented by a traditional dinner served buffer style and selection of beverages.

Maybe tv and movies ruined it for me...my expectations for what a luau is did not come to fruition. We were staying at the westin, and when concierge told us this is the newest one on the island, we thought it would be fun thing...More

This turned out to be a fun and entertaining Luau. We have attended the Old Lahiana Luau prior, and reviews on this one were hot and cold. Food was great, entertainment was great, service was great and the drinks were flowing. Loved it...worth a try.

Before selecting a luau I did a lot of research. Although many recommended the Royal Lahaina for small kids the large size was not of interest. We paid the premium upgrade (which only applied to the two adult seats not the two free kids -...More

Great food, great beer (IPA), entertaining show held at the Westin on Kaanapali Beach. An amazing fire dance! A little expensive but worth it!

Very unimpressed, food was just ok, watered down drinks with little to no booze. Saw a number of people dump their drinks for beer. Show was boring except fire dance. Way too many hula dances that were the same with just differing costumes and difficult...More

The luau was great, the food just so so BUT my problem is that we paid extra for PREMIUM TICKETS! Problem - there were about 40 people from Idaho, all from same company. THEY got to go in first (usually premium ticket holders get that...More

Whilst this is not a traditional luau, I think it's a great luau for a family with teenagers. You sit at a table of ten, so it's good to meet the other people at your table, and the warm up chap gets the crowd going...More

Meeting the wonderful people at our table was highlight of evening. That kind of says it all. If you enjoy sharing a buffet of so-so food with one hundred plus people and a very average show then this is for you. A luau is supposed...More

We booked it for thanksgiving dinner. It was very entertaining show and very good food. It didnt include all the authentic experience of cooking the pig, show was 2 hours. The main guy was funny.

The tables are round. The problem is that some are far away from the performers and have obstructed views.
