My friend and I visited this beautiful farm last week when we were visiting for a wedding. They’ve done a beautiful job! The nice gentleman at the gate told us that they have many (I can’t remember the number) varieties of lavender around the farm...More

Using an out of date guide book, google maps and intuition we made our way to the road to the lavender farm. Heading up the winding road I wondered if we had missed a sign that said Lavender farm this way but maybe there is...More

Good place to stretch the legs and enjoy walking the grounds, exploring the flora and fauna. Besides the fields of lavender, there are paths with various local plants and different types of lavender. The views from the area are impressive.... you can spend several hours...More

Not far from the Kula Botanical Gardens you will find the Alii Kula Lavender farm. Pulling into the parking lot the fragrance is the first thing you notice. There are Lavender fields surrounding you and the smell is fantastic. This is not an easy area...More

The gardens are not that big and it is important that you visit them around lavender blossoming times. Otherwise there is not that much to see (but then I did not take the tour); although the views are nice. I liked the gift shop which...More

Aloha! Mahalo for your review. We're happy you enjoyed the shop. Here at AKL we are lucky to have 9 varieties that bloom year round, but the peak of the season is Mid July- September. We hope you can visit us again :)

I paid $10 for the tour reserved online (I was the only person on the tour!) and I recommend it. It was about half an hour or more and the guide explained all about the different varieties of lavender and even picked samples for me...More

You can learn a lot about lavender here by taking the tour or do it yourself. Views are spectacular; walking is challenging with hills and 4000 ft. elevation; weather can be chilly. There is a well stocked gift shop with everything from salves and oils...More

Allow at least an hour but I agree with the other responder--this isn't worth a special trip. Makawao is a cute town to visit and the surfing goat dairy is anothe fun diversion if you head up country.
