Aloha and welcome to Mauis Garden Of Eden Arboretum. An Arboretum is a park...

Aloha and welcome to Mauis Garden Of Eden Arboretum. An Arboretum is a park dedicated to trees. We also feature hundreds of lowland rainforest species of flowers, shrubs, and ground covers as well.We began this project in1991 with 30 acres of densely overgrown jungle, now after investing more than 20yrs of physical labor and 2 million dollars, we have created one of Hawaii's most visited botanical gardens. We have many plants found nowhere else or are uncommon to Hawaii, such as rare Amazon fruits and medicinal species, endangered hardwoods, spice, exotic nut trees, ferns and so much more...A botanical Disneyland with over 2 miles of maintained graveled walking trails...A truly educational facility with over 700 plants botanically labeled. Try to allow at least 45 minutes to explore. We feature great views and photo opportunities but no direct access to the waterfall or pools. If you are only interested in restrooms (we now have improved facilities) You can do so for free 2 miles down the road.A portion of your entry fee is donated to the nature conservatory. The cost to keep our gate open averages $1,000/dy so we sincerely thank you for your support,,,especially those who have contributed beyond our entry fee. Most botanical gardens have teams of volunteers and use chemicals to curb costs. Our entire staff are well paid professionals, and we are almost entirely a chemical free park. Thank you for visiting, we do take your comments to heart

We sorta found this place by accident. There had been a land slide on our way down the Hana Highway and we turned back. So I sorta needed a consolation prize so the whole morning wouldn't be a loss. This was perfect. Wife and 9 year old loved it. It was the morn of Mar 2 and the girl working... More

Not far past this stop is another arboretum that does not have any charge. There are rainbow eucalyptus trees there to see as well as some water features.

I'm sorry to say, but this place definitely was not worth $15 a person to get into. Yes, it was charming, but not one of us felt there was anything spectacular or out-of-the-ordinary that you couldn't see anywhere else for FREE in Maui or on the Road to Hana. We all kept asking ourselves, "This is it and for $15... More

We had packed ourselves a picnic lunch and knew we were going to want to get out and stretch our legs a little, somewhere along the way to Hana. This was the ticket. The gardens are gorgeous, and it's just a nice place to unwind and relax outside of the car for a few. I'm pretty sure the opening shot... More

We did not see the actual attraction (although it is probably very lovely and they also sell food and drink). However on our way back from Hana our son got sick and we needed a stop. Although they were closed for the day and we were not even a customer they opened their doors for us to provide facilities for... More

This is a must stop and I'm so glad the Gypsy Guide has us stop here! This is where you see so many beautiful plants and the Rainbow Eucalyptus without breaking into private property. Flowers galore that you won't see anywhere else.

My husband and I travelled to Maui with our three kids (ages 6, 9, and 11). We wanted to go on the road to Hana but many people tried talking us out of it. I'm so glad we didn't listen to them. Our one son does get carsick so we knew we would have to take long stops. The Garden... More

We enjoyed the Garden of Eden Botanical Garden and especially liked that it was a family owned attraction. The flowers and foliage were beautiful and well kept. We stopped here because I had read from other reviews that it was well worth the stop. We agree that it is beautiful and we enjoyed the paths because we like to walk.... More

Mahalo for the review, Carol and Ray! We're thrilled you enjoyed your time with us.
