Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

And around this corner is another spectacular falls. If any of these falls were by itself on the mainland it would be so unique, but the road to Hana has falls around every corner.

This one is neat because there are so many paths that the water takes.

Another very nice photo op

We see it every year. Somebody jumps into a pool beneath a waterfall and hits a rock. Another visitor is playing in the water and gets washed downstream by a sudden wall of water. Waterfalls are beautiful, but appreciate them from a distance. Just because you see someone doing something doesn't mean it's safe for you too! Caution is the keyword. Maui is a real place with real hazards. It's not a theme park.

This is one of the must stop places along the Hana Highway. You can see it from the road. There may be a lot of cars and a few tour vans parked there. Very pretty falls. It looks like there are several falls when there is more water flowing. Great place for pictures.

There are water sprouting and gravity taking over to make falls everywhere around here. This is nothing exciting about Hawaii. In fact, boring to see so many falls.

Near mile marker #24 on Hana Road. You will see a small green electrical booth on the side of the road just before a small bridge. If you look to your right you will see Hanawi Falls.

We found it very ordinary compared to the other falls along Hana Road.

Not really worth a stop.

It's worth a stop since it's located right off the road. Parking is obviously limited. However, the pinned location of this POI on the TripAdvisor map is incorrect. It's actually located between the Secret Lava Tube (another gem) and Makapipi Falls. Look it up on Google Maps for better accuracy. I submitted a change request to customer support, but TripAdvisor seems to ignore them.

Water was so clear I had to get in. While the falls may look small. I can still feel the current while in the water.

There is probably room to park for about 3 cars. And a sign that says keep out on the short path down.

This is a waterfall right near the highway on the Hana Road. There are two sets of falls really and if you shoot with the panoramic feature on your phone, you can get them all.

I enjoyed watching the falls from the far right perspective and the middle, just near the bridge. There are some places to park nearby and there were people going down to the falls themselves. An easy hike by the way.

The photo ops are many and the water cascades down for a while, great to see and one of the main falls on the road to Hana. Don't turn around until you see these falls. You can't miss them right on the road.

Beautiful falls right off road/bridge. My husband and 13 year old twin boys did climb down to the falls that are pictured to the right. They didn't have a problem but always be careful. My understanding is that most of the time the right side only flows, but when the flow is heavy, you'll find more falls to the left, which we were able to see.

My wife and I spend the night in hana and found this place on our way back. Nobody else was here so we just had to go for a dip and some pictures. The water was Crystal clear and was a nice short dry trail down to the pool
