We've passed this place multiple times and have never stopped. This time we had a couple of hours to burn so we stopped by. It's interesting to read the history of the place, but other than that, there's really not much to see. Take a...More

I personally didnt think this was worth visiting at all, there was very little to see, and the historicial information you could have read in a travel book, there is so much worth seeing in Kauai, I would give this a big miss

To be fair, this is one stop you could miss on your tour of the garden isle and not actually miss anything of note. From a historical perspective, yes, it is a bit fascinating but there are so many other ways to spend your time...More

Saw this on the signposts and called in. All that is visible are the rubble of the ramparts, but the historical description we found fascinating. We loved this, but not for everyone. Worth a short stop.

Nice for a stop to get some history and see the ruins. We spent 30 minutes and it was plenty of time. We stopped before we went to the canyon but should have stopped after.

This place shouldn't even be listed as an attraction. There is a small board explaining what it is, and a path that looks like it may go inside. If you follow the path to the beach you can have a lovely view of bums and...More

Kind of lame place to stop. Even it is on the ocean side, views are average. There are much better places to stop. I guess if you like history, it might be of interest.

I walked here every morning from the Waimea Plantation Cottages. So nice walk and when you get there, you can see why someone would build a fort there. Great views up and down the coast, and also to Niihau. Built back in the early to...More

If your into European/American history it may be of some interest but other than that it will be seen as a place to stretch your legs and use the toilet. The info boards do mention Captain James Cook so there will always be a connection...More

There were some interesting signs here but other than that, there wasn't much to see or do. It's a quick hop out of thevery car to stretch your legs
