Waimea Canyon is the one place you shouldn't miss on Kauai. The drive is punctuated with many overlooks. You should stop at all.

You will want to take in this beautiful Canyon either at the lookout areas or Adventure off down the trail to the actual Falls. Although it is a bit of a hike, it is definitely worth it. Don't miss this part of the island.

The views of the canyon are amazing. I was really nervous about the drive after reading other reviews. The drive really wasn’t that bad. It did get a little windy, but it was fine! There are restrooms and a fruit stand at the first look...More

Take some time to drive along the canyon and stop wherever you can to view it from different angles. It's breathtaking. Wish we had had time to set it from a helicopter.

There are countless trails and places to hike and sight see. Allow most of a day to take your time and see all the different vantage points.

Too amazing for words. It takes someone with a greater gift for expression than I to capture the beauty in words. Just go! Just enjoy!

Definitely drive yourself. It's an easy drive and, with your own car, you'll have the flexibility to stop/linger wherever you like. On a tour, you might not be given the option/time to walk out for some of the best canyon... More
