This was well worth the drive! Waimea's views and vistas are breaktaking. There are plenty of spots along the drive to stop and take photos. We strongly recommend it! One suggestion: head up to the top of the canyon when you first get there; then,...More

Visited on a tour with Roberts Hawaii in December 2017. Breathtaking views of canyon, vegetation in the canyon and waterfall too. Great look out points. Beautiful blend of terra cotta, oranges, and greens. Well worth the visit.

Stunning views that go on for miles and miles. Waimea Canyon is on the west side of the island and is reached by driving up a long and winding road. The views are comparable to the Grand Canyon on the mainland

Definitely drive yourself. It's an easy drive and, with your own car, you'll have the flexibility to stop/linger wherever you like. On a tour, you might not be given the option/time to walk out for some of the best canyon... More
