This magnificent place was noted in Hawaiian chant and hula for its ethereal beauty and rejuvenating qualities. The Halele'a Spa at The St. Regis Princeville Resort is the namesake of this revered moku that encompassed the land from mountains to sea.

The island of Kaua'i was known for abundant water sources, both “wai” (fresh) and “kai” (sea), that were used to promote health and well-being. Traditional Hawaiian medicine also included the use of water related resources that were found in the moku of Halele'a.

Following these ancient traditions, the Halele'a Spa creates a memorable spa experience with the highest level of personalization in mind. Carefully crafted treatments combine

Hawaiian healing rituals with western techniques. Fresh island botanicals and resources from the sea blend seamlessly to promote a rejuvenating experience.

The Halele'a Spa incorporates the Hawaiian healing properties of the indigenous plants and the essence of our island home. The potent minerals and trace elements from the ocean aid in rejuvenation as guests are “renewed” through exotic spa treatments. The Halele'a Spa staff will embrace and nurture every guest of the joyful house.

The Halele'a Spa honors the magical waterfalls of Hanalei through its many water inspired features. Allow ample time for a pre-treatment sensory journey starting with quiet time in our steam room infused with aromatic tropical essence. Become invigorated in our signature cascading waterfall showers with an overhead deluge and several body sprays. Emerge refreshed and renewed, and rest in the tranquil relaxation lounge, featuring wall to wall waterfalls and guardianship from the statue of the Hawaiian goddess, Hina lau limu kala, skilled in the medicines of the sea.

We went there for a message. The facility was outstanding and state of the art. After the message you don't want to leave, trust me. There are a gym, sauna, state of the art shower, relaxing lounge with snacks and drinks. Our messages were from 12:45 to 1:45, but we ended up leaving at 4:30 pm. If you go there,... More

"House of joy" the name says it all. This spa doesn't offer as many amenities as some of the comparably priced spas I've been to, but Marion's Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage and Wawae relaxing foot massage were worth every dollar!!! The facility was clean and comfortable and offered a dry sauna, steam room and relaxation areas in addition to the... More

After several days in the sun, it was time for some pampering. I indulged in a 90 minute massage followed my a 90 minute facial. Both services were great, but the facial in particular was outstanding. My typical facial experience is that they let you "relax" while your masks are setting, meaning - they leave the room for about 20... More

My husband and I are just leaving after a couples pohaku massage and all I can say is what a disappointment. I can not believe that we just spent almost 500.00 on what we both found to be below a subpar experience. Beware if booking the pohaku massage. I had a first-class massage at the Halele'a, but the facilities- which are what you're paying for, really- were very disappointing. There's a tasteful look, but everything's subterranean, and the facilities are limited to showers, a sauna, and a relaxation room (one tiny one for women, which was kind of like a doctor's waiting room- well lit, no beds), and... We have been fortunate enough to visit spas all over the world and this was one of our favorites ever. The facilities are not spectacular but the technicians are amazing (in particular, Michelle, Rain and Jane - pronounced Jah'ne). They really take good care to identify problem spots for you and they know how to work out your muscles!
