It was a great walk. I recommend hiking shoes rather than sneakers and sport shoes. Walking east from the Hyatt it is about 2 miles to the cave. You have to double back on the same trail.

if you want to be on Heritage trail for some really great sunrise photos you will have to park on dirt lot to left of Shipwreck Beach parking lot as the lot entrance is chained that early. It's hard to find without good directions. From the round about follow Poipu Rd past the Hyatt. Turn right at golf course and... More

The paved path in front of the Point and Poipu and the Hyatt is slightly hilly but very easy to walk. It's a short path that ends at the beach. There are large turtles that swim right at the Point of Poipu. At the end, just past the beach, there are may trials to climb the cliffs. Getting to the... More

My husband & I have been in Poipu for just under 2 weeks celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and we are so happy we made this hike apart of our trip. We got some of the most amazing photo's ever and the hike itself was so enjoyable. Was a really hot day when hiked this trail but because most of... More

Beautiful, easy walk along the coast line. Wander off the main path and follow some of the trails up the hill at the very beginning.. you will end up walking along the cliff side and it's breathtaking

This hike is easy and full of gorgeous scenery! We had our daughter and she only stayed in the carrier for 15 minutes then demanded to walk herself. It was easy for her as there were very few steep areas. Amazing scenery. Pull down the street just passed the Hyatt parking lot and park there. Bring your suit and reward... More

Three 30-somethings did this hike. Easily accessible starting at Shipwreck Beach where there is a small parking lot down a side road passed the Hyatt. The other option is to start at the other end by driving down a dirt road passed the CJM stables. Watch out for this option because the road becomes kind of rocky at the end.... More

Looking for an easy hike, this might be for you. Just walk towards the beach from the Hyatt and turn left. The trail will lead you through some trees and to the top of the big rock at Shipwreck Beach. There are some really nice views from up there, but be sure to continue on. The trail takes you right... Swam in a little bay that was a perfect way to cool off . The water so blue, the "dragon's breath" blow hole a delight to watch and listen to... More

Highly recomended atraction! Easy acces and short trial with great views! We loved it. Be sure to put a lot of sunscreen and take a cap and a lot of water. We have parked our car next to Hayatt hotel and we pass its through its garden so we upgraded our trial by visting this 5* hotel :)
