My toddler loves trains and this sweet trip around the plantation was the perfect activity for mother and son. It’s a short trip with a stop in the middle to feed animals but worth it. Book online for a slight discount.

We chose to just do the train tour as it was just my husband and I. We did learn new information about the beautiful island of Kauai while doing this trip. If we had children along would definitely do one of the longer trips on...More

In fairness, it WAS raining for the whole trip and I was dodging wind driven rain pellets going from side to side of train. The guide was very informative and friendly and under better circumstances would have given the train ride five stars.

We thought this would be a fun venture, so while we were here we took this short train ride. We are adults, but this would be fun for the kids. Halfway through the ride, the train stops and passengers can get out and feed the...More

Was able to spend a little time on the train before getting off to feed the animals, hike down into the "jungle," lunch, then the orchard tour. Everything was well planned; the tour guides were excellent and very knowledgeable.

We have been to the Plantation many times. This is the first time we've taken the-site train ride. Really much more fun than adults might think. We heard lots of great information about the property and the flora and fauna. There was a stop to...More

The train ride, walking tour and orchard visit was excellent. Sean was an excellent guide. I would do it again, but next time, early in the week, so I can take home with me some of the excellent fresh fruits in season. The fruit tasting...More

My husband and I really enjoyed visiting the Kauai Plantation railway. We found the history very interesting and overall had a great time. Even better, it wasn't expensive at all!! Awesome!

Short ride around the plantation. There is a stop half way through to feed the farm animals (mostly pigs, a couple of goats and a donkey) - good fun for the kids.

Hi Jeffrey, I suggest calling Kauai Plantation Railway to see if you can park your scooter at the station and then ride the train. You can stay on the train during the entire ride or, if you can, you can get off when... More

Yes. The plantation is very close to the main highway and shopping. It is even possible to access with local transit if you do not mind a short walk. If you take the full day tour, make sure to ask for Kai, he is an... More
