We visited 3 Luau's on 3 islands and found all 3 unique, but Smith's was our overall favorite. We started with the Fern Grotto cruise which was beautiful and romantic. Smith's luau starts with your ability to wonder their beautiful gardens. This park like setting rivaled some botanical gardens that we visited, and even included some small animals that kids... The Smith Family has been doing this for many generations and it shows in the perfection of the experience. Kamika Smith is about as genuine and friendly as they come. The beautiful grounds are interesting to walk through and the kalua pork, teriyaki beef, and fried rice are out of this world. The show is a delight and the kids... More

The gardens are amazing. We walked around and it was so beautiful. We did the luau and the food was wonderful. You need to try the poi if you have never had it before. Really enjoyed the shoe. We got to see how the pig is roasted. The entire family is involved with the luau and the gardens. Highly recommend.

We chose this luau over the one offered by NCL Pride of America and we were not disappointed! The Smith Family is still involved in running the luau and they bring a family feel to the experience. Upon arrival, there was a tram ride through their gardens. If you have no walking concerns, I would recommend getting there early enough... More

Don't even think about it-- book your families reservation at Smith luau! We attended a different 'hotel' luau in the past and it was not even an ounce like Smith's luau. Food was outstanding and plentiful as well as the included beverages.

When we told people on our cruise we had booked the Smith Family Luau they all said we'd picked the very best. They were right! With a tour of the beautiful botanical gardens, the uncovering of the pig (cooked in the ground) the wonderful food they served and the evening Luau, we couldn't have asked for a better evening of... We skimmed a few reviews and don't want to repeat - so we will keep this to the #silversager in mind. When we made our reservation, it asked us where we were staying for the shuttle bus. We clicked on the drop down offer of where we were - the Wyndham Bally Hai. After several days, we hadn't heard what... More

We were originally going to just see the show but decided to go for the whole thing. Glad we did. It gave us an opportunity to walk around the grounds. It is a beautiful area and very well maintained. The food was delicious as well. Over all we were very pleased with our decision.

We decided on Smith's Luau for our first trip to Kauai. We have not been to any luau before. The grounds were beautiful, we enjoyed the tram ride through the grounds, and then walked them on our own before the Imu ceremony. We enjoyed the evening. The Imu ceremony was interesting, and the entertainment was good. There are a LOT... More
