If your a history buff or a veteran, they have an excellent museum of all the various units and people who have served fromKauai. The museum is worth a stop by. It's a veteran center for Island veterans and other than the various local functions it's not an attraction to go and see, but the museum inside is worth a... More

There is a static display of an A-4 in front and a small memorial garden. In the parking lot there are food trucks during the lunch hours. It is home to a small veterans display indoors and is host to many veterans meetings, local conferences and community events.

Our guide was a 90 year old retired Marine, who served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam - and his devotion and love of the museum and preserving the history of Hawaii's sacrifice and service to The United States was awe inspiring. The museum is small, but the experience is large, as this lovely man has stories of war and love... More

This isn't really an attraction as much as a venue for meetings, conferences, community events, etc. The auditorium can seat several hundred.

There are regular cultural events going on here all of the time. Inquire about what's going on while you're here. We lucked out and were there for a Japanese festival and were lucky enough to see many exhibits and performances. Origami, Taiko Drums, Tea Ceremony, calligraphy, cooking demonstrations, and Ikebana flower arrangements were among the attractions. There are similar things... More

The seats in the main hall are some of the most comfortable anywhere. The sound and acoustics were great. It was easy to see the stage from anywhere in the facility. It is a great venue.

We attended the Christmas hula concert on December 22 which is a "don't miss" if you are here (Lihue) at Christmas time. The auditorium must have had a recent renovation. All seats were clean and very comfortable and it looked like the whole inside had been refurbished. Probably looks better than it did when it was brand new.

I dropped in for the taiko drum festival and enjoyed it. The hall is spread out to allow multiple events to proceed at the same time. The drums were fun and the bansais on display were very cool also.

We went to a private event in December for a Hula School. The chairs are comfortable and the accoustics were very nice. Nothing fancy, but nice enough for the need. It is a "Gotta Go" kinda place if there is an event you want to see. IHG, Rube
