Their frozen pineapple smoothie is exceptional

It's worth the drive to Kilauea for Banana Joe's. Farmers market in the adjacent parking lot on weekends.

We have visited Banana Joe's each time we visit Kauai, over the 20 years. The smoothies and frosties are made from fresh local frozen pineapple, papaya, banana, sometimes an individual flavor available at other times a combination. Banana Joe's also sell a small selection of locally grown fruits and veggies, honey, and tempting snacks.

Out in the country between Kapaa and Princeville but not hard to find. Very fresh fruits and vegetables! Have Joe make you a smoothie. They're delicious! Very friendly! We're going back!

FYI, a smoothie is a fruit juice blend and a frosty has a more ice-cream consistency but with fresh fruit. They have a set order of which fruits are used and it appears to change weekly. We ordered one of each to share and the banana & pineapple frosty was amazing. I love pineapple and the ice cream like consistency... More

This place is right next door to the mini-golf. They have a good assortment of fresh fruit some of which is pre-cut and chilled. The mango was amazing! We all got the banana-pineapple frostie which is basically frozen banana and pineapple put through a grinder. To me the two flavors pretty much cancelled each other out making it not as... More

This was one of the "had to go" places we heard of and we weren't dissapointed. It's a cute little fruit stand right off the side of the road off the main highway just before the turn to Kilauea if heading south from Princeville. They have really good smoothies and frosties in pineapple, banana and mixed flavors (the frosties are... More

This is a funky little place right on the highway. We got the Frosty-- frozen, mashed fruit which makes a dairy free "ice cream." So good! We also picked up a gigantic, perfectly ripe avocado for guacamole. I regret not picking up any of the baked goods.

Small fruit stand near Princeville. They make smoothies and frostys with all fresh fruit. We had pineapple frostys, so smooth and creamy it tasted like ice cream. Wanted to go back for a banana one and didn't get a chance. Will definitely return if we get to visit Kauai again!

All natural ingredients!!! Super delicious! Heard about this from my sister who visited several years ago and her kids still talk about it! So we had to find it and we will be talking about it too!!!!

Banana Joe's fruit stand is located about 200 yards north of the Kilaea Lighthouse turn off. It is a little place with a variety fresh fruits and other local goodies. The claim to fame is the fresh fruit smoothies and frosty. They also use fresh fruit, bananas or pineapple or both together. We have always had the frosty. I don't... More
