Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was my favorite beach I’ve been to at Kaua’i. Trees, waves, fresh water stream, lava rock…all coming together in harmony. Great sunrise was just the cherry on top. When I think of Kaua’i this is always I had in my mind, even though I didn’t know it. (Well an epic hike too but this check the relaxing visual boxes).

I go here to watch the views on my lunch. The road is dirt and some parts are single lane. It has a nice cove, but I won’t swim, most people don’t know that the bacteria levels are very high, they are only measured once a month by a volunteer group. “Staph” skin infections are very frequent in the area, so I just go and watch the waves. Swim at your own risk! You can follow Google Blue water task force, at surf rider foundation. Also, no restrooms.

An unmarked dirt road, off of Kahili Makai Road, leads to a small parking lot. If full, park alongside the road. The beach has a large calm area that is good for swimming. There’s a river that flows into the ocean at a large sand bar which provides for another protected swimming area. We saw people walk through the stream and up the hill onto the other side which looked like another parking area. There are two ropes to swing from. People were camping although the sign says it’s not allowed. A beautiful beach if you enjoy privacy and tranquility. No services.

This beach I have seen with two names(I thought it was 2 p[laces) Rock Quarry Beach being on the other side of the river, but it is one place. GPS took me past the small dirt road at first so I was at a dead end, but returned and went down the mostly dirt road. It is in good condition. It ends at a small lot. There is room to park on the side of the road.
There is a nice wooded area. As you enter you can right towards the beach or go straight to the river part. There are signs to keep the area clean. There is a swing to use to jump in the water.
It was very secluded. Not too many people. No life guards. The surf was a little rough. There is a huge area of beach Lengthwise and width. There was a surfer. Appears the river could be a nice area to kayak.
Kauai has so many nice secluded off the beaten path of beaches. This is one of them.

Very private and out of the way. It's pretty and was a nice beach to stop and see. The water was very rough so no one was swimming, though.

Favorite beach we found in Kauai. Very few people and you have both calm river and rolling ocean. There’s not a ton of parking but it’s the beach you go to to swim and picnic. So please don’t go and make it all touristy :)
