This beach is right off the highway but we enjoyed it. It was very relaxing and plenty of room for parking. There is bathrooms and showers to rinse off. There is also places to have a picnic. It does get busy but all in all it was a fun time.

Had to catch a sunset here across the ocean and it was near where we stayed in Kapaa. Very nice view! It is located just off the highway and it is very pretty and there is parking there too. A good spot for a picnic, a bike ride along the trail, local spot for catching the waves too, or watching... More

We love this beach for a number of reasons but it's particularly good for bougie boarders and chilling out watching the waves....... There are picnic pavilions, bathrooms, drinking water and showers and there is plenty of parking during the week. Weekends can get busy so arrive early. Watch out for the rip tide here. The lifeguards are very quick to... More

This was the best place to bogey board. Nice waves, good beach, SHOWERS, and plenty of sun. I love beaches that have a place to rinse off. Waves are really good and the water and air temperature is so nice. Make sure you stop if you love to surf or bogey board.

Long beach, little or no shade. It has lifeguards and it was packed when we visited. Good sunrise photos though.

There is a beautiful trail that goes by this beach. There are a few covered picnic tables, too for families and small groups to have lunch or meet. It is, though, just on the highway, so it's not the out of the way beach some folks might be looking for, this wouldn't be for you. There is however, a bathroom... More

This beach is located alongside Kuhio highway just north of Kapa'a. This beach is very long with a nice bit of sand. The Ke Ala Hele Makalae also runs alongside the beach. The parking area is very large so parking has never been a problem. This is a lifeguarded beach with picnic tables located on both the north and south... More

Went here in winter and there were lost of surfers out. The waves here are pretty mild but enough to give a beginner a challenge. Nice wide open beach...plenty of area to hang out and enjoy the beautiful Kauai weather.

We went for a walk along the Ke Ala Hele Makalae East Shore Beach Path and found that this beach was uncrowded and very nice. Clean with plenty of picnic huts, adequate parking and restrooms. Also has a lifeguard, so good place for families.

We ended up at Kealia Beach only because we saw it driving by, and it looked gorgeous. It really is. A beautiful, long sandy beach. What's not to love. Surf can be brutal, so be careful. A nice walking path nearby as well. Also, nice shaded picnic tables really make this a place to enjoy a gorgeous day in Kaua'i.
