We rented a pair of bikes for a half day and used that time on the Path. It was a great way to enjoy a mid-morning on the island. We loved that it weaves in and out of a bunch of different terrain, and it takes you along some interesting sites, as well. The ride itself isn't strenuous so it's... More

Highly recommended! We biked north for a few miles stopping at every opportunity to take pictures. We stopped a lot because the water is just so beautiful.

This is a free paved trail that runs along the coast. There are water fountains along the way, but take a cold bottle of it with you. Remember sunscreen because you will be in direct sunlight most of the way. Best way is via bikes. Go to hele bikes at the start of the trail and rent a bike (best... More

My husband and I are seniors but that didn't stop us from renting a tandem bike and tooling north on the path. It is beautiful. The ocean views are colorful and the sounds and breeze make you feel in paradise. However, the path does end and when the pavement ends, park and walk if you want to go further. We... More

The Kauai path is a paved/concrete walkway/bikeway. I found the people on it to be friendly and courteous to both walkers and bikers. Bikes are typically old school upright or mountain style. There was a heavy cross wind today which caused 2 problems for us. 1) my wife was cold. The path is right on the water and there is... More

The path is great! You can see so many different views of the ocean. We only walked 2 miles north, check the weather before you go and make sure to wear sunscreen and a hat and bring water as it gets hot.

This multi-use path is lovely. There are numerous informative signs along the way telling bits and pieces of the area's history and about the Monk Seals. The trail is currently a bit over 4 miles each way, it is easily traversed with the beach cruisers available for rent in Kapaa. As a walker, I would suggest starting at Kealia Beach... More

This is one spectacular walk, run or bike ride. The path is five miles of paved beachfront fun. We have done this for the last five Kauai visits and we always have a blast. There a some views you will never see from the highway. With only slight upgrade areas this is an easy bike ride. You will also see... More
