it was a great adventure. Dave was a great guide. the kayak was easy and the hike up to he falls was a simple hike. You do need some basic kayak skills. They will teach you and watch you but it just keeps the group together better. The water fall is certainly worth seeing.

Thomas was our guide. We had to call him Thomas because we had another Tom on the tour with us. Thomas was great. Friendly. Knowledgeable on the plants and life on the island. His suggestion of wearing shoes instead if my water shoes was the best suggestion ever. They had loaners that you could use if you didn't bring your... More

Our guide, Matt, is very personable and knowledgeable. He communicates his passion for the island and its history, and his friendly, attentive, and easygoing nature makes the tour a success. As we paddled and hiked, he pointed out and explained fascinating ancient ruins, as well as fielded questions about current Native Hawaiian land disputes with private and government agencies and... This tour is worth the money and your time. Our guide, Annie, was the best. We enjoyed learning how to kayak together and the hike was beautiful.

Great tour for the family. The kayak was beautiful and they put my 2 kids aged 7 and 9 in the same kayak as my husband so they made it no problem. The hike was ankle deep muddy so shoes were an issue. Some wore runners - super muddy and hard to clean and some wore water shoes. Both were... More

We certainly enjoyed our kayaking, hiking and waterfall fed swimming hole. We were very lucky with the weather as it had been dry for a while in the area and the hiking trail was not muddy at all unlike what many reviewers experienced. We enjoyed our guide, Nathan, and the group we explored with.

You better be in shape or young to do this combination kayak and hike. The concierge at our hotel told us very little about what to expect of this Wailua River tour. We kayaked about 2 miles up with river and veered off into a narrow channel that finally took us to a place where we could beach our kayaks... More

fun combination of exercise and pleasure. easy paddle, easy hike to a waterfall. Austin did a good job keeping people interested and discussion the forest findings. Waterfall was a fun break between rafting and hiking. Lunch was a bit below par for the price.Would do it again without question
