Spend an hour or so peddling the east coast of Kauai! It's beautiful flat and there are lots of beautiful places to stop and explore. Simple bikes from coconut coasters plus the locks, helmets and baskets they provide make this all easy and fun!

4 of us (ages 59-67) tented bikes here early march. The fellow running the store was very cordial and the bikes we rented were 7-speed. Worked great. Very nice trail along the coast. Probably 5-6 miles long. We stopped where the trail ended goung north.

Renting bikes from Sparky and the crew at Coconut Coasters was a highlight of our Kauai vacation. It's a nice break after lunch or coming/going from the North Shore if you happen to reach Kapaa at quit work time and the traffic is moving just a bit slowly. Take your bike either direction along the path just off the shop.... More

Rented beach cruisers to do the bike trail. Rented around 4 pm, the trail wasn't very busy which was nice. It was a nice way to spend an hour. Pretty views of the coast.

We walked in without a reservation, rented our bike, and were biking along the path in mere minutes. $18 for 4 hours seems like a pretty good deal to me, and a one-speed beach cruiser worked perfectly for this 50-year old woman. I appreciated that our rental included helmets and a bike lock so we could stop and wander off... More

We rented three bicycles with 3-speed (get that) with a child bike trailer. They gave us a free upgrade as we had a coupon from a Kauai tourist book from our condo. Their customer service was excellent. We saw a few different bike rental places and the coconut coaster's bikes were in far better shape. No rust, no problems. LOVED... More

Great service at coconut coasters. Lots of types of bikes to rent--cruisers 1 &3 speed, hybrids to full suspension disk break mountain bikes. All in top condition. Saw tons of whales breeching just north of donkey beach. Make time to stop at donkey beach--it's picture perfect "what you think a beach in Hawaii should look like"

Courteous helpful staff. Great bikes located right on the bike path. Family owned and Sparky owner operator is the man!

The trail that goes along the beach here, 5 miles of it, is utterly gorgeous and a lovely ride. the bikes from the Coconut Coasters, however, are WAY over priced. Thirty dollars for 24 hours, why the bike I rented must be worth about $5,000 by now. Like I said, great guys, OK bikes but. hey, lower your rates by... More

We have rented from Coconut Coasters every time we have stayed on Kauai. They charge $8.50 an hour, or $18 for a half day. If you want to do the Ke Ala Hele Makalea path, it will only take you about an hour if you don't make any stops. The half day option allows you to take your time, ride... More
