Kids had a great time boogie boarding on the smaller waves here. Parking was pretty easy to come by. Views from the beach are pretty spectacular.

We stayed in Princeville and visited this beach briefly during our visit. This is a large beach easily accessed with parking. It is guarded and has restroom and shower facilities. The backdrop of mountains and sunset viewing make this a nice spot at the end...More

This is a great beach! Some days the waves are good enough for surfing and body boarding! The beach is 2 miles long and you can take a great walk along the shore. There is plenty of parking in the lot and along the streets....More

So, Hanalei is amazing overall but since the flooding, something is off. I came here 20 years ago and it was magical. Now it seems sort of bleak, wet, and a little disappointing. The beach and the bay are essentially the same thing although there...More

Great beach for families. Water has enough waves for boogie boarding, but calm enough for little ones. Great place to watch sunset as well.

Brought an umbrella and sat by the beach. It's busy here but there was still plenty of room. Variety of beach goers- sunbathers, kids, surfers... lots of fun!

This was an expansive sand beach with some picnic tables and a restroom and outdoor shower. The dirt parking is somewhat limited and is riddled with potholes. Since this is part of the bay, the water is fairly calm and family friendly. Great spot for...More

We wanted to go to the Hanalei Pier after dinner, but the parking area was washed out. So we decided to check out the beach. What perfect timing! This is where artists get the vision for painting sunsets of the beach with the edge of...More

Great beach, but expect moderate crowds (always). Waves (in summer) were gentle and fun for everyone (surfing looked pretty paltry but still fun for sure).

I would recommend the St. Regis or the best, Happy Talk Lounge at the Hanna Bay Resort.
