Quick roadside stopover to view the valley before descending to the coast line. Stop in at the Ice cream or shaved Ice bars at the shopping centre just before the lookout, both fantastic cool treats.

If you want to know where the good views are in Hanalei (really the entire island) just follow the chickens and roosters. This place was no exception. This stop featured a rooster, two hens, and 4 chicks. And after you have enjoyed the wildlife, you...More

Before you descend into Hanalei, you must see the Hanalei River and Taro fields below. It is a beautiful vista.

The views from here are just amazing. There's a place you can pull off and take pictures of the valley and bay. You can hear the wild chickens in the surrounding brush.

There are not many places where you get such a wide view of a valley in such a beautiful spot. DEFINATELY worth stopping. This is a 30 minute stop max and I think we were there about 20 minutes. As I remember there are shops...More

The is a really great view of the valley. Worth the stop and it's right on the way to everything on the north shore. If its just rained make sure you go out to see this view. The rain makes it so magical

This viewpoint is interesting because it changes depending on the weather and time of day. So we stopped several times under different circumstances. The road turnout is easy to navigate and it is well worth the stop, which can be as little as 1 minute...More

Easy little turn out spot to pull over and look at the massive fields of taro plants. It's breath taking and a must stop on your way by.

This is just a stop along the side of the road, but you need to get out of your car to appreciate it. Beautiful valley spreads out below. This is farm land, and devided up in a patchwork quilt of green. Gives you an idea...More

The overlook is simply a viewpoint or pullout at the side of the road. There are no trails or walkways involved. There are several places nearby in Princeville, in Hanalei or the lighthouse where you can walk with a pram.
