Kevin and Danelle took us out diving on a very rainy but calm water day. We have been diving with Kevin for the last 3 years. He is about the best, kindest divemaster we have ever encountered. We saw 2 sharks, eels, and so much more. Danelle did a great job driving the boat. I really like diving on this... More

I dove with Dave working on my dive master certification while my wife and 2 daughters (ages 5 & 6) snorkeled. Capt. Kevin was very accommodating, providing float vests, snorkel gear and instructions for my girls as they have never snorkeled. After settling a few nerves and with encouragement from Capt. Kevin, the girls had a blast seeing several fish... More

I wanted to complete my PADI open water dive certificate while on vacation in Hawaii and I could not have picked a better dive shop. Both the confined and open water dives were excellently done to ensure I could complete all the skills in a very supportive environment. I was travelling with a large group of friends and family and... More

My wife and I were staying at the Waikoloa Hilton and wandered into the Blue Wilderness dive shop in Queens Market; I was originally looking to buy some snorkel equipment for our vacation, and Kevin kindly suggested that we rent instead (saving us quite a bit). We then booked a trip for the Manta dive at night, and it was... More

We had planned to do the Manta Ray dive with a Kona Company, but their website reported no shows and the site up North with Blue wilderness was at least having one or two mantas show. So we canceled our kona dive and drove the 10 minutes from our condo to the Puako boat ramp. We were very lucky that... More

Very nice boat, fast and comfortable. Equipment rented was top notch and the dive guide was outstanding! The owner's wife supplies baked goods on all of the trips and we were lucky enough to have her chocolate chip cookies which were first-rate. We will definitely use them again on our next trip to the island.

This is the best dive school in the Big Island. The scenario.....my daughter (12 years old) needing to complete the last part of her dive tuition to be fully qualified. Me, the worried sick mum about someone else taking my baby girl 20 meters into the ocean. Well I had no need to worry at all. From the first encounter... More

Visited Blue Wilderness for my Deep Diver course (already have AOW) - initially I chose them by default as I had booked the course with another dive shop in the area that emailed me a few days after booking and cancelled (after I had already bought the course materials). From the start, Blue Wilderness was great. The communicated well from... More

I love snorkeling and have to be in the water at least once a day when I am on the Island. So when I heard about the Discover Scuba option and the great reviews for Blue Wilderness on Tripadvisor, I thought, that's it, I'm going to do it. It was the Best experience! From the first phone call to ask... More

Great operation, fast pontoon boat, smooth ride, dove two excellent sites, got back by 11:30am. Denise, Kevin and Capt. Tony were awesome.
