Small park but beautiful views. It's fun to watch the waves and people paddle boarding and surfing. Pack a lunch and make it a relaxing outing.

Went down here to catch the lava tour, spent the day and so glad I did. Had a snorkle and a soak in the hot springs. A good safe place to snorkle with the kids, or round the corner to body board or surf.

The last couple of miles to reach this park are on a one-way road but it wasn't hard to pull over and let oncoming cars pass. It was a rainy day when I went and the surf was up which made for beautiful waves to...More

It's the only harbor for miles, and way off the main road, but the only place to launch a boat for miles.

A good surfbreak, but not much to offer for swimmers. Obviously popular with locals, partly due to the lack of beaches available. Lots and lots of rocky shorefronts in the area.

Spent some time watching surfers after our boat tour, also got to spend some time in a hot spring on the beach , very nice and secluded. Water temperature was just right

Note this is not a beach park for those with post 50 agility who want to get in the water. The beaches have "NO" above water line sand and lots of lava rocks to fall on. It is a nice park and good place to...More

This beach park is in first for the departure of all the boats for lava tours and for fishermen and in second a place to surf (for experts of course). Lot of people swim in the protected part, where the boats leave. A beautiful line...More

We stopped in only to catch a boat at the ramp. While we were there, we saw THREE. 3. separate cars (presumably?) drunk driving through the parking lot at crazy speeds. People were using the Port-o-potty with the door open, and really, the beach was...More
