Steam vents all of over still. Even one of the roads had steam vent on each side. The park also has vents that are roped off.

If the parking lot at the Volcanoes National Park Visitors Center is full, drive on a bit to Steam Vents, where parking is usually easier. You can still see into the crater, but also get the steam vents and sulfur deposits to look at. You...More

Nice easy walk. Got to see some cool vents and great view of the crater. It can be windy! Great to pair with the sulphur hike.

Start at the visitors center and walk through the steam vents and Sulphur banks. Very cool to see6. Very easy hike that gets quite popular, I suggest getting there early.

Although these are listed in many tour books it is Private property. Do not trespass. Don't go. Caretakers monitor the area and will ask you to leave. Also completely inaccessible due to current lava flow and danger.

Nice short, easy hike and plenty of places to take photos. The smell was not overwhelming, just an awesome force of nature! Go!! Even a little bit of rain shouldn't stop you from this visit! Take your rain ponchos!

No. The lava covered everything in and around Kapoho, Champagne Ponds and the Red Road from the 4 corners stop sign all the way to McKenzie State Park. :(
