Although I expected to enjoy the lunch--what can go wrong with endless vanilla options--I didn't anticipate the cooking demonstration or tour to be so informative. Learned a lot and enjoyed every moment of it. A sweet family gives you a tour of their plantation and prepares a fabulous lunch for you! Try the lemonade. Not to be missed.

It is fantastic to have guides that are not only knowledgeable but passionate about their topic. This family owned farm is that. Went for lunch and tour and learned so much about the history, cultivation, politics and finances of vanilla. one of the highlights of our big island vacation

This family operated vanilla farm is a real treat. This was our second visit in three years and we brought some friends along for the lunch tour. First they feed you a tasty lunch with real vanilla in every dish all the while explaining about vanilla and it's origin. After lunch it's a short walk to the shade houses to... More

Be sure to leave early, a little tricky to find, but well worth the trip. Found this on Pinterest and it interested me, extremely happy that I searched and scheduled the lunch and tour. The food was amazing. Vanilla can be Incorporated into food as a savory element. Was interesting to hear the family history and how they started the... More

For the price of the tour we were disappointed. Not enough plants, no processing visuals. Just a walk down to an almost empty shadehouse with a few plants. A video was shown of the pollinating process but hard to see. No pictures of the flowers and we would like to have seen what they look like, as well as what... More

Informative, interesting. We especially enjoyed the personal story of a family run business. In addition, we were served a great lunch.

Wonderful food, friendly people, interesting and informative tour. This was something totally different from the other tourist activities. In the future, I hope they will offer a cookbook of their vanilla recipes.

Directions were easy to follow. Greetings from the family were warm and friendly. We felt like visiting with our own family with good humor and delicious food. We were pleased that they will ship purchases so we didn't need to overload our bags....and we purchased so much that they shipped for free!
