About
An authentic, diversified family farm. We specialize in hand-crafted, artisanal, 100% Hawaiian products including macadamia nuts that are dehydrated rather than roasted so they taste more like the fresh macadamia nut right out of the shell, unique varieties of chocolate-covered macadamia nuts, award-winning 100% Ka'u coffee, several varieties of natural Hawaiian honey and buttery Tropical Shortbread cookies. On a visit to the farm you can enjoy free samples of all of our tasty treats, and you can meet the farmers, take a free self-guided tour (including our Aquaponic greenhouse), take a scenic and educational guided tour, and learn about honey, coffee and macadamia nut production. You can also meet our 4 parrots and see a variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers growing in our fields and gardens. We also have clean bathrooms, beach showers, free WiFi, and USB charging stations available for visitors.

- Brian R1 contributionStop here after visiting Black Sand Beach at Punalu'u.A perfect lunch stop! Ate lunch at co-located Ama's Kitchen. Then we browsed the chocolate, Macnut offerings. After trying samples we loaded up on several bags for gifts. My favorite is the dark chocolate + tropical fruit + Macnut bark! Ate lunch at the provided tables, visited the aviary and checked out the art gallery.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 January 2024

They will give you a map when you arrive that will walk you around the farm to see the gardens and birds. There is a cute little art shop there too. Once you are done wandering around they will give you samples of all their macadamia nuts, chocolate and honey. These were the best macadamia nuts I’ve ever had. They dehydrate them instead of roasting and it’s amazing! They also have a shower for you to use after you visit the green sand beach if you like!Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 14 April 2024

We (like many) stopped here on the way back from South Point. It was a hot day and we were just interested in a couple of cold drinks. Well, $50 later...we couldn't say no to all the free samples of chocolate and macadamia nuts! And they were all delicious. Shannon did a great job of showing us around and even threw in some freebies. How nice of her. Definitely worth a stop!

We did not find it to be an interesting stop, with some free samples and expensive nuts and coffee. A quick walk through the shop and neighboring grounds took about 30 minutes. Just not exciting or interesting enough to recommend other than average.

We happened upon this treasure on our way to south point. So glad we stopped. Hard to even describe this place—truly one of a kind. Coffee, macadamia nuts, honey, chocolate…endless samples…and then there were the delightful feathered entertainers! Original artwork and super friendly staff completed an outstanding experience. Left with a big bag of Local Buzz goodies that might not make it home!

This folks is well worth the visit. We stopped to use the Rest room and enjoyed our visit so much with Leonard (“the Irish Hawaiian”) we wanted to tell everyone about the place. He has great Macadamia nuts with a variety of flavours. And a great mix of dark and milk chocolate covered nuts. His coffee is an award winning taste that is very good. Take the time folks and stop it will be worth it. Leonard is an incredible host and has stories that will amaze you. Thank you Leonard for our visit.

Aloha,
Mahalo for this lovely review and sincere apologies for the lateness of this reply. I don't know how I only found out about it now!
We're so glad you enjoyed your visit, and we hope when all this travel craziness is behind us we'll have the pleasure of seeing you at the farm again.
Meanwhile, stay safe!

What do parrots, aquaculture, herbs, chocolate, ducks, honey, and chocolate have in common? Nothing. Except this place, which features them all.
Nice people, like everyone says.
It's free and worth every cent.

We're really sorry you didn't enjoy your visit to Paradise Meadows, and we have to admit we're totally stumped. We'd love to understand what you expected (or hoped) to find when you turned down our driveway.
We do indeed have 4 parrots, an aquaponic greenhouse, an "herb stroll", 19 Muscovy ducks, a number of Hawaiian honeys from our hives to taste, and unlimited samples of chocolate. We also have unlimited samples of dehydrated macadamia nuts, Ka'u coffee, and shortbread cookies, all of which we make ourselves. And we certainly agree that those things don't have anything in common other than being here on our family farm (and 100% Hawaiian).
We would really love for you to give us a call (or stop by again) and chat with us (the owners). We're genuinely curious to understand how the Paradise Meadows experience failed to live up to your expectations.
Hoping the rest of your stay here on the Big Island was truly fabulous.

Found this farm driving from Volcano to Kona. Very friendly & we got samples. The parrots are very pretty & will talk to you. Bought several items from the gift shop. Learned some new info about macadamia nuts. Glad we found this gem just a bit off the highway down South point Rd. Recommend a visit.

Aloha Kimberly,
The tour is absolutely free. Just be sure to tell the person who greets you that you would like a tour. It's on-demand and as long or short as you'd like it to be.
