We came for the coffee and tour. The tour is short but informative. I would have never known there were close to 700 coffee farms in this area. We walked out with a small bag of coffee for $38. It better have magical properties when I get it home.

Located in Kealakekua, HI, it is a superb place to have a relaxing morning coffee or a breakfast egg sandwich. An off the grid spot that offers one on one service and the chef will sit down and join you after you eat for casual conversation. Very laid back and friendly with a great view of the coffe bean trees... More

The physical setting is nice and the people are fine but there's something unsatisfying about this place. The tour is okay but there's less emphasis on enjoyment and education, and more emphasis on marketing and sales. The cost of the tour is excessive relative to what you get, including small samples of their lesser quality coffees and no samples of... More

For the past two years I have came here to experience the best coffee I have ever tasted. From the coffee, the customer service, to the views from the farm this is a place you need to experience for yourself! Highly recommended!!

Delicious Kona coffee and a great factory tour. Trellis roast is pricey but delicious! Their growing and roasting processes are unique, tour guide was very informative. Great tour!

We search out new coffee places each year when visiting the Big Island. This year we discovered Kona Joe's and what a great experience. The dark roast grown on trellis was very smooth. We will definitely go back... Kathy and Brad

In September we took the Kona Joe Coffee tour - fascinating! Judi was our tour guide and she did a great job of explaining the whole process of growing, harvesting and roasting coffee. They have developed a method of trellising the coffee plant - much like grape vines - which produces a higher yield on each plant, as well as... More

We didn't take the tour, but we sat and had coffee outside, looking down the hill to the ocean - absolutely beautiful. We sampled a few of the coffees in their store, and bought some to take home for ourselves and for gifts. Next time I'm in the area I'd love to go back for the tour.

The coffee is grown on a trellis here to maximize yield. We had a cup tried samples and took the self guided tour. It was foggy when we went but I am sure the view is amazing on a clear day. Not a long stop and worth it for a good cup of coffee from the source!
