Stopped by this place as we meandered around the highway near Holualua. Friendly staff. Some nice, typical Hawaiian items for sale, including their own brand of kona coffee. Retro tshirts , postcards, and an upstairs full of items from the past. Did not sample the food, but they had a little cafe with overlook seating. A nice surprise.

Make a stop at this wonderful little store above the main highway. You will find all sorts of neat and delicious items, fill your grocery needs, and learn the history of the original owner (established 1919) in photos and exhibits. Hopefully you will meet the current owners who restored this gem of a business in 2007.

While visiting various coffee farms came across this wonderful general store from a bygone era. The owners bought the building and it came with many items, from long ago, now on display but not for sale. They do have Hawaiian made items that can be purchased and they make their own cookies and coffee that you will remember. The employee... More

We stopped by this quaint general store that is almost 100 years old! It's amazing what they have in that store... Oh and they make and sell home made cookies! The coconut macaroons melt in your mouth! It's a neat store to browse around and take it all in. Great gifts and snacks to purchase here. I will be back... More

I'm so glad we ventured off the main highway to visit this store. They had a lot of locally made items that you wouldn't find anywhere else. The woman working there was so friendly and told us a lot of history about the store and the area. Great place to grab a snack or buy small souvenirs for your family... More

Really neat general store. Lots of authentic Hawaiian gifts and really nice antiques. The store itself is an experience. We tried the chocolate chip cookies and the house made Kona coffee. Both were delicious and the staff is so friendly. This is a must visit

A prefect little stop on the way to Mauna Kea! Got veggie Sandwiches which were delightful to have on the top of a volcano. Service was great and willing to help

I am a burger fanatic. There are some decent places in Kona to get a burger, but this one is my new favorite. Keauhou Store isn't a restaurant, but does serve lunch and has a small outdoor space where you can eat. The store itself is a great place to browse. And the cookies are really good too!!

Excellent cookies!!! Had some basic convenience foods, beer and wine. Also offered Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Cheeseburgers made to order. Lovely place to stop and shop for vintage Hawaiian souvenirs. Get a brochure and read about the history of the store which was built in 1919. Take a moment to stop by on your journey through Captain Cook area.

The owners have done a great job of mixing the old store with the realities of providing things people need. Want something cold to drink, they have it. Need some coffee or want to post a parcel, it can be had here. You walk into the store and you see all the stuff you would like to see in an... More
