It's a perfect place to spend time with customers, friends, and family. Seeing the attractions in the park like the Little London Bridge, Tea Pagoda Party, the Bonsai tree planted by Prince Hitachi of Japan, the Japanese lanterns, and many more allow you to recall the events happened in Hawaii. Liliuokalan Grden Park is the biggest Japanese style park in... More

The gardens at Liluokalani are beautiful and lush with all the rain. We saw green turtles near the shore.

We go there mostly every day. Very nice place to go to. When the County does the yard, they should do more, pick up or blow the cut grass. Cut edges too.

We took a morning walk around this park. It is well maintained with lots of areas to sit and relax. Enjoy the Japanese gardens, huge Banyan trees and the ocean breeze. It is located just minutes from downtown Hilo. And is adjacent to Coconut Island. Tourists and locals use this park to exercise. A great place to run. Paths are... More

My favorite place to walk. Japenese style garden with great views for pictures of Hilo. Mauna Kea, coconut island and hawaiian canoe (wa'a) . nice for walking, picnics, and playing Pokemon go.

Great scenic place to stop and relax. The garden is designed after the Japanese gardens with stone bridges and arches. A short walk across the street will take you to Coconut Island where you can get a 360 view of the bay. Watch the waves come in and crash against the shore. Watch kayakers and people canoe out to the... More

The Liliuokalani Park and Gardens is a nice and peaceful place to walk around and is easily accessible along Banyan Drive. It seems that the ponds may have had koi at one point, but didn't when we visited. If you're in the area and are looking for a place for a picnic, these gardens would be great.

We strolled all around the gardens, seeing the plantings, birds, the view over Hilo Bay with the spikes of lava in the water, and some delightful mongooses. The animals were not shy, if you stood still. A good nature lesson for all, including children.
