Easy access by bus or car and walking distance for the physically fit from down town Hilo. There is a trail to the top of the falls with clearly marked signs not to climb on the rock walls or too close to the slippery edge of the falls. It is fortunate that his site is only about a miles from... More

Visited on a drizzly day so there was plenty of water flowing, but not a lot of tourists. Was able to get some nice, unobstructed pictures.

Just up the road from Rainbow Falls are the Boiling Pots and some other falls. A large parking area (not shaded), some restrooms and a fenced in viewing area with lots of signage about the dangers of going past the fencing. Pretty, pleasant nowhere as inspiring or breathtaking as Rainbow Falls (perhaps why there are 36 reviews here and 1,500... More

This is my favorite spot. The setting changes with every passing day. When " Hilo rains" bucket down and inundate every square inch of the town, it's the time to visit every scenic point along Wailuku River. This is by far the most dramatic and accessible scenic point along the Wailuku. Many legends were born here and continue to inspire... More

This was only a 15-minute stop for us, so it did not allow time to take the path up to view the top of the falls. There are several vantage points from which to take photos. There are some huge trees at the parking lot which I found were mangos. It is peaceful, as others have said, and there are... More

These falls are all so close to one another, they can all be done in a little over an hour. Coming from Hilo you would go to Rainbow Falls first (the most famous of the 3 Falls). A lot of parking and restrooms. The Falls have a decent height and a cool looking cave underneath. There is a trail you... More

Beautiful and peaceful place. Nice spot to enjoy the tropical feel of the area, just sit and relax & forget the real world. Would be nice to stay here longer

it is definitely worth driving a little farther up the road to see the Boiling Pots and Pe'e Pe'e Falls. Peaceful with not many people. A different sort of falls experience, even without a lot of water flow.

This place is not all that big but it is defiantly worth the trip to see mother nature and all her beauty. Great place to bring the kids or the older folks in your group because it is so relaxing & beautiful, plus the best views you don't need to hike to like some other waterfalls.

Waterfalls are always a wonder. Take the time to locate and view this wonderful work of nature. You will not be disappointed.
