im a former student of the big island academy, and went on to get my Hawaii massage therapy license thanks to the excellent ,training I received. I would recommend this school, its is a long program ,and requires a lot of deducation, I suspect those who don't make it through weren't really destined to be good therapists anyway William reed

This place is fantastic! Great value as well. It is not frilly and chi-chi but your body will feel so much better afterwards. The licensed therapists are true masters and train the students well.

Aloha. I am a former student of the Big Island Academy of Massage as run by Yahavah. I can honestly say that it was the worst experience of my professional life and I quit the program about a fifth of the way through, mainly because Yahavah is such a personally disconnected individual and bullies and brutalizes her "students" both emotionally... Yahavah is the best massage therapist I have ever experienced! Having a massage was a great way for me to start my day and would definitely go again.

As the years pass I find the need for massage on a regular basis. This can be costly and this is where the Big Island Academy of Massage is great. They offer student massages on the cheap and their students are MUCH better than you would expect. It feels good to leave a big tip when I walk out feeling... More

I am currently a student @ the Big Island Academy of Massage, and wanted to take a minute to share my experiences here; in hopes of helping others who are seeking/traveling to find HEALING as I was before I found it at the Big Island Academy of Massage. I have been on the path to becoming a healer for a... More

I'm a student and I can say got all students that we love and care for everyone here. It is our pleasure for clients to come in for massage, be it a 20 minute chair massage, therapeutic and relaxing 1 hour massages or 2 hour session. Come in and see the genuine love we have for healing by massage. :)... More

I have really bad neck issue which has sent me on a life changing path. I have disc issues at c4-c5-c6 & c7 which cause me a lot of pain, neurosurgeons don't want to touch me so I just need to move on in life with the pain. I started seeing yahaiva the main massage therapist at the facility and... More

My husband and I happened upon this massage school our first day in Hilo while the students were offering free chair massage. We ended up booking 2 massages each (hey we were on vacation), and found both the students and Yahavah, the owner, to be professional and intuitive. Traveling is always hard on the body, but they were able to... More
