My wife and I stopped here. It is not far off the main highway. No charge to park. Worth the extra 3 miles to see.

Rainbow Falls is a good stop for a quick look but wouldn’t plan a long stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find a mama pig and her five piglets in the grass nearby.

We stooped here first when arriving in Hilo. Easy to park, beautiful viewpoint. We saw the rainbow too! Wild pigs roaming around with piglets were an extra treat. The cave below the fall was huge.
