A sign

It's just a sign, a very informative one, but just a sign. It looks kind of out of place, no mini museum or artefacts. Just in front of a motel.

The motel we stayed at IS the Conner Battlefield site, there is an historical marker there explaining what happened, there are no artifacts or exhibits.

This is a nice little stop for a night or afternoon picnic. Filled with huge cottonwood trees providing plenty of shade and a smaller playground. They have horseshoe pits and picnic tables in the picnic area. Really nice campground that is never full so provides a nice relaxing stay. The river winds around the campground and has a couple of... As a battlefield, it's not much. As a city park, it's quite a nice location by the river. The Arapaho chose this location for their village, before they were attacked by Connor and his troops. There are a couple of large signs which do a good job of describing the battle and the background. The location is just a mile... More
