The Popo Agie River disappears into a hole... half a mile further on it re-emerges... but the water takes two hours to make the journey, and it comes out several degrees warmer. Where does it go?? Who knows. Just ten minutes from Lander you can...More

The name of this park doesn’t really give you a clue about the amazing phenomenon going on here - or the scale on which it is occurring. A rather large river of rushing water disappears entirely down a hole and then resurfaces several miles away...More

The scenery up to and in the park is stunning! The story of the Sinks Canyon is also fascinating. Great Park Staff.

We actually drove this road on the way back home from Lander to Rock Springs. Wasn't sure if our sedan would make it, but the road wasn't too bad; just take it slow.

Visited Sinks Canyon on a whim, and it was awesome. Continued the drive over the top of the mountain, and that was equally impressive, if a a bit terrifying around the switchbacks. Nothing like looking several hundred feet straight down the mountainside.

Was not sure what to expect but the day was sunny and beautiful and this place was recommended so off we went. It was great! A little hiking, some rock climbing and dipping our toes in the water...terrific way to spend a morning
