This is an unknown by many jewel in Wyoming. Wonderful wildlife, mountains and river that disappears into the mountain only to reappear downstream in a pond full of large trout!!!

If you are traveling through Lander, you have to go up and see Sink Canyon. It isn't too far off the main highway and it was amazing to see! The river disappears into the rocks! I have been there several times both in the spring and fall. It was better to see in September than in March because there was... More

Don't miss this gem near Lander Wyoming! Paved side walks and a large deep pool of large trout, with a feeding station for adults and children!

SCSP has nice family camping along the river, with wonderous attractions, nature trails, and a fun visitor center right above where the whole river drops into a cave. Don't miss the "rise" a kilometer down-canyon where huge trout hang out. There is also world class sport and trad climbing, as well as road and mountain bike trails in the canyon.

What a beautiful park to tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the sights and wildlife. The fish were enormous and the view was spectacular! Was a great place to visit.

I had booked a yurt at this state park just because it was convenient and inexpensive after leaving Thermopolis. What an absolutely stunning place. Our yurt was actually adorable. We spent so much time with our kids feeding the fish, they will always remember that. We are from Minnesota but have been to most of the state parks in Wyoming,... More
