My husband and I were a bit nervous because the extra spring run-off made the river extra high, and the weather was pretty chilly. But Mad River provides wet suits, booties, gloves, and wind-breaker jackets, (as well as helmets and PFD's) so we were well...More

This was a great experience from the ladies at the desk to the driver to the boatman. Boone was our boatman and was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the local area.

We had the best experience with Mad River Boat Trips. Early June with cooler temps, we were provided wet suits to keep warm. Snake River running high & fast due to large snow melt off, so Mad River Crews were very thorough in their safety...More

Even when booking the trip beforehand, I was impressed. The website and booking process was quite outstanding, we got a personalized, hand-written letter in the mail before our trip, and the staff was very friendly and thorough in prepping us for the trip. The actual...More

Got lucky with great weather for a 3 generation family white water rafting trip in the small boat. Ran some great rapids, rode the bull through one, had a swim in the middle. Our guide/skipper was informative and a great teacher.

My entire family has enjoyed Mad River, from 3 -80 years old. The only complaint was from my mother when she took the "scenic" she said it was too boring, then showed us all up by "riding the bull" (sitting on the nose of the...More

I would like to schedule the class 8 mile snake river trip. How long should I plan for the trip. If it starts at 10AM, when can I expect to be back at my car and on the road? We are meeting a group in Yellowstone's Grant Village at 4:30 pm the same day and I want to make sure we can get there reasonably. Thanks.

You should probably call the raft company and ask about times. I think the rafting trip will take 4 hr by the time you get changed back into dry clothes, etc. it is probably 2 hrs to get from Jackson to Grant Village. Might... More

I have read that there is a parasite in the river and it is dangerous to be in the water at this time. My husband and i are coming the second week in September and would like to take a rafting trip. Is it possible at this time to do so and are there various levels of rafting?

I wasn't informed of any parasite in the river. The water moves very fast and is quite cold where we rafter, find it hard to believe that a Parasite could survive in those conditions. Ask Mad River, they would be happy to... More

An online website called CityDeals are offering vouchers for the Classic 8-mile rafting trip at $47. I'm from the UK and am wondering if this company and deal are for real as it will save me quite a bit of money if they are?
