Large, well-ordered, and detailed displays from every manufacturer I've ever heard of. Pictures cannot compete with seeing the actual items displayed.

Well laid out gun displays. Displays are shown by gun manufacturers. Displays are also shown by years produced. Even more guns are in the basement and not displayed.

So much fun to try something I never even knew was on my bucket list. You pick whatever you want to shoot, then an employee sets it all up for you and stands by to make sure you stay safe. I chose the Gatling gun and now I can look at my paper target and remember that my pattern is... More

all the history of firearms and the wild west in one spot. we thought we might spend an hour or two, but ended up spending half a day to see all parts of the museum. In a half a day you will have to skim the exhibits because there are so many. There were a number of odd ideas that... More

The Cody Firearms Museum has an extensive collection that is very well displayed. It coordinates the history of the US and the West through the development of firearms. This museum is not just for the firearms enthusiast but also for the American history enthusiast. This is an attraction not to miss.

Historical examples trace the evolution of firearms from the first muzzle loading arms to modern smokeless cartridge guns typified by the Glock exhibit. In addition every aspect of firearms is also covered including Hollywood guns, the weapons of Colonial and Civil War... More

If you have any interest at all in historical personal weaponry this is a must see museum. Weapons from matchlocks to our most sophisticated automatic rifles are presented in a chronological manner which enables the visitor to track firearms development without diversion. Personal firearms from television shows such as Bonanza, Gunsmoke etc. are also displayed along with presentation firearms and... More

I have to say that this place has become a favorite of mine. Shooting the gatlin gun was a thrill. The staff is very knowledgable of the weapons on display and they take the time to answer any questions you have about the guns you will be shooting. I highly recommend this activity to anyone. Young and old alike will... More
