This display is in the back room of a small gift shop. It is free to go to, you can make a donation. They have a laminated, two-sided page that explains what you're looking at in the diorama and the history. The diorama is large,...More

Went to see this on the advice of the owners at the campground and so glad we did. The shop itself was full of the usual tourist items plus rather unexpectedly about 50 or so stuffed game heads, with local as well as African ones,...More

TYhis place is loczatted within a typical tourist trap. BUT it surpriseed and amazed all four of us. Ignoring the artificial displays, it still contained many original artifactys and has factual history for each. I STRONGLY rfecommednd you stop here.

Lots of artifacts, great mini display encompassing a lot of history, with voice explanation of what you were looking at. Absolutely take the kids, and learn a lot yourself!

To start off, it's free. You can give a contribution if you would like to help with the upkeep. Usually when leaving an exhibit you exit through the gift shop. Not here. You enter through the gift shop and then visit the museum. Fantastic. If...More

We were recommended this by American friends and were so glad we had the time to visit, you need at least an hour to take it all in. It gave a great insight into the history of the time, with lots of models and thousands...More

At first I thought this would be corny, looking at the history of the Old West through miniatures. Wrong! It was an excellent way to witness the purity of the original West, and see how my European ancestors encroached. Much to learn about this in...More

This is not to be missed. We stopped on our way back from the Buffalo Bill dam. The miniature historic displays are amazingly detailed. We were enthralled. No fee, but leave a donation.

Imagine walking into a souvenir shop which was quite large (and reasonably priced), when the owner approaches and asks if you would like to see his museum. No admission charge but dropping a few dollars in the kitty for its upkeep is more than well...More
