We had fun tubing on the Crystal River. We had a big group, so it was hard to stay together. However, it was not too rough for the children even though we did get stuck on many rocks and branches that blocked areas of the...More

This has been one of our favorite places to visit for years. The Red Mill gift shop, candy store, deli and ice cream shop are exceptional. Behind it is the Crystal River, the covered bridge and the chapel in the woods. Words can not describe...More

The covered bridge and chapel in the woods, located at the Red Mill are a MUST stop at destination when in Waupaca! We went and took photos of my parents, who were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. We walked slowly across the bridge and savored...More

There are some bad reviews of Ding's Dock, and I do understand, but it's what you expect and what you make it. Yes, the canoes are made sure of fiberglass and if you rub against them much, your legs will be itchy. They're also old...More

We paddled the Crystal River the other day. It was a bit challenging. Because of all the rain and spring storms, there were a lot of branches down, so we had to maneuver around them. The current was stronger than usual so maneuvering around the...More

We used Ding's dock to rent a canoe. The river was way too rocky. Our horrible, crummy, cheap canoe tipped countless times. We rammed into rocks several times because they were all over the place. Canoe tipped and all of our stuff went floating down...More
