Who knew lavender would grow on Washington Island? The farm was started about 2012 but it looks more developed than you'd expect. The plants were bloomed out on our visit (Oct) but there was still fragrance in the fields! Lavender is my favorite fragrance so...More

Gorgeous grounds and a fun gift shop will entice you to spend time and $$ here. The lavender was harvested when we visited but you could still smell the relaxing aroma when out in the fields.

The lavender growing season was done, so no outside views. It was basically a shop of local lavender products which smell wonderful. The bistro was also only serving chocolates and sweets, the high season was over so no sandwiches until spring.More

Stopped here after visiting the Stavekirk. Walked into the shop that smelled heavenly. Lots of products and learned that lavender can be used for cooking, and also got to see how they distill their lavender to get essential oil from the plant! Great stop!
