I've been to this museum more than once. There are more than 1300 accordions. The collection traces the history of the accordion from its earliest developments in 1829 all the way up to the present. Dr. Harrington, the curator/proprietor has amassed this huge collection over a period of several years. I've been involved with the accordion for nearly 70 years,... More

We enjoyed our visit very much. Helmi was a wonderful guide and was so much fun to listen to. The kids were all allowed to played kids accordions and said it was one of their favorite parts of our visit to Superior. None of them had heard an accordion before and it was fun to watch them learn about them.

We went with a group to the World of Accordions Museum yesterday. The director, Helmi,Harrington was so knowledgeable and entertaining as she took us through the history of the world use of this instrument. There are many varieties from different countries and different eras. She gave a demonstration of music from each of the instruments. We are all in awe... More

I really wanted to like this place. I play the accordion, and I was looking forward to seeing this museum. Unfortunately, I wish I would have had a better experience there. I think they have an amazing collection of accordions. Some of the instruments seem very rare. But what left me feeling like I had a bad experience was the... More

This is the largest collection of accordions in the world - the world, folks! One extremely short-sighted reviewer said it was small? You won't see as many accordions, concertinas, bandoneons, history and memorabilia in one place anywhere else on the planet including the much-touted accordion museum in Castelfidardo Italy. A World of Accordions Museum is a really amazing feat accomplished... More

They want $10 a person to see accordions? It woulda been kind of fun to walk through there briefly, but when we saw how small it was, we laughed and said, "Thanks but no thanks." The whole arts building that houses it is smelly, too. I guess if you're a huge accordion enthusiast, you might think it's worth it, but... More

First of all, it's such a small museum that we got a personalized tour of the place by a very friendly and knowledgable host. Then we were luck enough for a local accordion musician to stop by and play use a nice round of our favorite polka tunes! I highly recommend this tiny, wonderful museum.
