The beach at Whitefish Dunes extends for miles. The sand is soft, and the water is warmer than you would expect in Lake Michigan. Even on a chill day, the beach is perfect for a long walk or sun-bathing.

Nice long beach but its worth it to follow the lakeshore trail up to Cave Point where there are lots of rocks to look out on and pretty views everywhere.

Took a nice stroll here. The weather was a little chilly and the may flies had just hatched but it was very picturesque, good place for a little picnic.

A must visit, if you like white sand beaches. Several nice hikes, or just stroll along the beach. Can be a bit cool if a strong East wind. Do have to pay, as this is a state park.

Whitefish Dunes State Park is sometimes overlooked, as it is on the less traveled side of Door County. Don't miss it...views are gorgeous. It's not to be missed.
