Since last season APT has completely remodeled the outdoor stage and it shows. There is no better place to enjoy pre-theater dining and a show outdoors than in the hills of Iowa county near Spring Green. The outdoor "lobby" area has also been improved. The...More

We saw this play at the inside theatre. Good thing as it was very hot(90+) This Genet play is typical of his plays. Well done but very stressful. A good play if you like drama. Not if you're looking for humor.

We have been enjoying outstanding performances at APT for years. The recent remodels have upgraded the experience. A wonderful environment if the weather is favorable. Great talent is evident in every performance.

We went to this theater knowing nothing about it and we were pleasantly surprised by both the beauty of the theater and how wonderful the performance was. There is both an indoor and outdoor theater located in the woods not far from Taliesin. You park...More

I've seen 70 plays at American Players Theater (APT) since 1994. That should tell you something. Out of the 70, all were great productions (only one was a weak play, in my opinion, but others may have a different view). I attend lots of live...More

APT recently completed an improvement in their stage and infrastructure. This has only enhanced the experience for all attendees. You will find excellently prepared and performed classical theater from Shakespeare, Chekov and beyond. Bucolic setting for a picnic in advance (gas grills available) make the...More

You can check their website for ticket prices. Tickets cost less in September. Whatever the price it is some of the best theater you will ever see.
