Once we got to the only road to enter the rest stop type location (cannot turn left into park) it was a pleasant little stop. Cute photo ops

Ended up in Sparta- had to do the cheesy tourist stop. While not expecting much- was a bit of let down. Some sort of plaque would be nice. Why does this exist? Just because Sparta likes bikes? Inquiring minds would have liked to have known.

It's a great place to stretch your legs but the whole visit needs less than 15 minutes. Take a couple of photos and move on to the next tourist attraction.

The Sparta Bike is kept in excellent condition. It is very fun trail to ride complete with train tunnels, camp grounds and Bed and Breakfasts along located along the trail. We highly recommend those who like bike riding, try out this trail.

We've seen this bicycle several times in the past, but our kids were too young to really seem interested in it. Now, five years later we came back and they absolutely loved it. They were very excited to wait til dusk to see the wheel...More

Just do it. The bike is huge and it's a pretty cool setting. If you wanna bike to it I think they have trails that go through or connect here. I drove so I didn't pay attention to that aspect.
